Playing with knifes

During my vacation I decided to play around with wood carving and my wife's aunt(retired art teacher that knows such things) told me to practice first with soap or a candle to get a feel for the tools. Haven't had a chance to carve anything out of wood yet but here is a little guy that I made out of a candle.
